Cobber skaters finish eighth

Although the Concordia men's hockey team compiled a disappointing 3-13 conference win-loss record and an overall record of 6-20 coach Allen Rice feels the team still had several high points in the season.

Early in the year, the Cobbers finished fourth in the MIAC Thanksgiving Tournament. They lost the third place game 6-5 to Augsburg College in a contest they led in the third period.

Mark Rice, a junior from Moorhead, was named to the MIAC all-conference team. Teammates David Swanberg a senior from East Grand Forks, Minn.; sophomores Larry Goos from Rose Minn., and Todd Thompson from Devils Lake, N.D and freshman Brian Johnston of Thief River Falls, Mm were selected for the MIAC honorable mention team.
