Dan Weiler begins his second year as head coach of the Concordia women‚s soccer program. He had been an assistant coach for the men's and women's soccer programs at Concordia for the previous two years. Weiler becomes the fifth head coach in the 20 years that Concordia has fielded a collegiate women's soccer program.

Weiler, a Fargo native, is also the head girls' soccer coach at Fargo South High School (the girls' soccer season in North Dakota is played during the spring). In 1999 he guided the Bruins to the North Dakota State Championship and was also named the North Dakota "Coach of the Year". Prior to coming to Concordia, Dan served as the assistant coach for the Fargo South boys' team from 1997 - 1999. During that time the Bruins captured state titles in 1998 & 1999. Weiler is also a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "B" license coach.

Concordia College Athletic Director Dr. Pipho stated at the time of his hiring, "We are continually looking for ways to improve our athletic programs and the hiring of Dan is a step in that direction. This will help both the men's and women's programs, because it will give each program a sole head coach." Pipho went on to add, " Dan brings a solid soccer background to the college, and a strong insight into women's soccer. We are very excited about our entire soccer coaching staff and the future of soccer at Concordia."

Weiler earned his bachelor's degree from Moorhead State University in 1996. He also works as a teacher at Agassiz Junior High School in Fargo.
