  Track teams include many All-Conference, All-American picks

All-Conference performers were plentiful on the Concordia men's track and field team this year. The team finished in sixth place in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meet.

Named AII-Conference were Steve Schmitz '87 Bismarck, N.D.; Jon Faust '88 and Clint Faust '90 both of Harwood, N.D.; and Minnesotans Jay Jorgenson 88 Detroit Lakes; Toni Urdahl '89, Pine Island; Greg DeFor '89, Bloomington; Michael Bouressa '87, Benson; David Burd '87, Moorhead; David Schweitz '90, Cannon Falls;  and Mark Lingle '88 and Kent Fritze '90, both of Park Rapids.

DeFor; Jon Faust; Jim Lundstrom '88, Fargo, N.D.; and Bart Mueller '90, Hendricks, Minn., set a school record of 7:44 in the 3,200-meter relay, as did Jorgenson with a total of 5,977 points in the decathlon.

Because of his scholastic accomplishments, DeFor was named to the MIAC Academic All-Conference team.
