The 1913-1914 basketball team began practice with 17 members. Sixteen men responded to the call for candidates. Coach Holzer predicted a good season.

The schedule 12-game schedule was played against teams from Fargo College, Moorhead Normal, Park Region, Jamestown College, Mayville Normal, Valley City Normal and St. Olaf. 1913-1914 Baseball

In April Professor Tonning called a meeting for those interested in playing baseball. The athletic association accepted Mr. Andy Rusness as baseball coach. The Crescent mentioned that he comes with a good reputation as a player and under his leadership our boys will soon be playing by the latest and most approved method.(21)

Players back from last year included Amon Johnson, Martin Johnson, Bill Krogh, Fred Kile, Oscar Overby, Adolph Overby, Bob Sathre and Oscar Rusness.

The schedule included two games each of the following schools--Fargo College, NDAC, Park Region, Moorhead Normal, Mayville Normal and a single game with Valley City Normal.

Work has begun on the tennis court and later on there will be workouts for those interested in making the tennis team. A tournament was scheduled for June 1 at Valley City Normal.

At a meeting represented by the athletic body of the college, it was decided to concentrate efforts on baseball at the expense of track and field so track was canceled for the year.
