Freudenberg carries a 3.77 GPA while majoring in Exercise Science. On Saturday against St. Ben’s Freudenberg scored a career-high 34 points. He is also threatening to break the Cobber record for average rebounds in a season which is 10.9 set in 1957-58 by Art Johnson.

- Concordia first-year head coach Rich Glas now has 498 career wins. Glas is coaching in his 29th overall season in collegiate basketball and has a career record of 497-316.

#8 Wrestling (10-1 - beat MSU Moorhead 18-15/

competed at North Country Invite)

- Concordia beat MSU Moorhead 18-15 in their only dual match of the week. The win over the Dragons ended an 18-match losing skid to MSU M. The last time the Cobbers beat the Dragons was in 1988. The win also pushed the Cobbers' overall dual-match record to 10-1 on the year. It is only the second time in program history that the team has posted a double-digit win total in dual meets.

- Concordia sophomore Phil Moenkedick (So., Perham, Minn.) remained unbeaten on the year as he won five matched last week. He earned a match-deciding pin against MSU Moorhead and then went 4-0 at the North Country Invite to capture his fifth multiple-team invitational title of the season. Moenkedick is now 28-0 on the year as he gets ready for the regional tournament.

- Justin Berns (So., Perham, Minn.) earned his team-leading 35th win of the season at the North Country Invite on Saturday. Berns is now 35-11 on the year and three wins shy of the school record of wins in a single season.  The program record of 38 wins was set by Mike Northcutt in 1988-89.

- Against Northwestern, the Cobbers lost only six games in the entire six singles matches.

- Cobber sophomore Matt Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley HS) won his second singles match of the season. He is now 2-1 on the year and leads the team in wins. He posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No.1 singles.

She teamed with sophomore Melanie Gail (Madison, Minn./Lac Qui Parle Valley HS) to win 8-0 at No.3 doubles and won 6-0, 6-0 at No.5 singles. Last year Miller won five matches as the team’s No.2 singles player.

- Concordia senior Paul Westmark (Appleton, Wis.) continued his hot hand in 2009. Westmark posted a score of 4,700 points in the heptathlon and set three personal bests in the event. He posted a height of 13-3.50 in the pole vault. That mark is far and above his previous best and currently ranks him 11th in the MIAC in the event. Besides the pole vault, Westmark also set personal bests in the 60 meters (7.58) and the 1000 meters (2:41.54).

- Senior Billy Oehlers (North Branch, Minn.) showed early-season success in the shot put at the Bison Open. Oehlers recorded a distance of 49-10.50 which was his second-best mark ever in the event. That distance currently places him second in the MIAC.
