MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/21/09)-- Playing without 2008 MIAC Rookie of the year Jenna Green, Concordia could never overcome the frontline hitting of No.23-ranked St. Olaf and lost 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 20-25, 21-25). The loss is the second straight for the Cobbers and drops their MIAC record to 5-3. CC is now 12-7 overall. The Oles have now won 15 straight and are tied atop the conference standings at 7-1. St. Olaf is 23-2 overall.

Katie Vohnoutka led Concordia all night long. She was the Cobbers' main offensive threat and finished with a match-high 21 kills. She was the only CC player with more than nine kills in the match. Vohnoutka also had a team-high 13 digs and three blocks. Amy Sykora had 38 assists.

St. Olaf was led by Kim Smisek who had 16 kills and 14 digs. Alyssa Williams added 16 digs and Kelly Prunty had a match-high 40 assists.

As a team Concordia hit .124 for the match and had 49 total kills. The Oles also had 49 kills for the match but hit .153 and came up with the key points in their three game wins.

The Cobbers will stay at home and host Gustavus on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
