Dunham Earns MIAC Weekly Honor!

MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/18/10)-- Concordia junior quarterback Michael Dunham (Willmar, Minn.) was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday. Dunham accounted for four of the five touchdowns in the Cobbers' 35-16 win at Augsburg on Saturday. It marks the second time he has won the weekly honor. He was also named the Player of the Week on Sept. 13 for his performance against Valley City State.

Dunham went 18-for-24 and passed for 175 yards and one touchdown. He did not throw an interception in the game. Besides his passing prowess, Dunham also ran for 74 yards and three TD's. He finished the game by racking up 249 yards in total offense.

Perhaps the most significant contribution that Dunham and the offense made on Saturday was the ability to keep Augsburg's high-powered offense off the field. Concordia finished the game with 38:48 of total possession time. In the second half, the Cobbers held the ball for 22:00 and had drives of at least six plays in four of their five possessions.

This season, Dunham has thrown for 1,249 yards and 10 touchdowns against just two interceptions, and he has 203 yards and three scores on the ground as well.
